1. After logging in you will see the button labeled "Create Interviewer" on the side bar to the left of your HeyMilo Dashboard. Alternatively, in the "Interviewers" tab you can click "New Agent" on the top right.
2. Next, you will be taken to this page
Job Description: Provide a concise description about the role. The more detailed then the more trained the AI will be. This will not be displayed to candidates. The baseline questions/scoring system is configured from your job description. The more thorough your job description the better! (Feel free to add info on desired skills, past work experience, education, certifications, culture fit, etc.) We also have templates available in the Quick Starters below to help you craft a detailed job description.
3. Once you've provided your job description, you'll want to configure how your interviewer appears to candidates
Interviewer ID: Naming the agent normally the job title and location for that role are commonly used for this section. Candidates will only see this in the agent URL.
Example: Cashier-Las-Vegas
Position title: This is what your candidates will see when interviewing.
Interview Instructions (Optional): This is where you can completely customize how you want the AI to give the interview.
Examples:
Ask only one follow-up question
Start the interview with a brief overview of the role
At the end of the interview ask "Did you have any questions about our company culture?" (Then write out what answer you would like for that question.)
4. Customize your interview by selecting the style, interview method, focus, resume requirement, and deadline.
Realtime Interview Method: Choose the interview channel that suits your needs. Candidates can interact with your interviewer through voice or video.
Interview Focus: Choose the interview style that best showcases what you are looking for out of the interview.
Resume: Decide if you want candidates to upload a resume. Most only require a resume if they share the interview more openly like at a job fair or right from the job listing on a job board.
Set Deadline: Select a date when this agent will no longer take interviews for the role.
When you are done then hit Generate Interview Questions.
5. Interview questions
HeyMilo creates a set of baseline questions that can be configured, along with a scoring
system to objectively evaluate every single candidate’s response. In the interview, based
on responses from a candidate, HeyMilo can adapt and ask appropriate follow-up
questions to dig deeper into a candidate’s skill and assign an appropriate score. The questions + scoring system can be modified as desired. Questions can also be added to this list as desired.
When you are done with setting up your questions and scoring then click Activate 🚀
This will be the link that you will share with candidates for them to take the interview.
Note: You can integrate your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidates directly through the system.
6. Testing your agent
Before sharing your agent with candidates, we recommend a round of internal tests. It’s
normal to iterate on the questions/scoring system a few times based on internal tests.
